Will Huggins Enters 2024 Drupal Association Board Elections
Will Huggins, CEO and co-founder of the specialist Drupal agency Zoocha, has officially entered the 2024 Drupal Association Board Elections. With a background rooted in commercial, customer experience, and marketing disciplines, Will brings a unique perspective to the board.
Since founding Zoocha in 2009, Will has built a team of digital experts and developers, delivering significant Drupal projects for high-profile clients, including the United Nations, Oxfam International, and University College London. Despite not having a technical background, Will has immersed himself in the Drupal community for over a decade, frequently speaking at major Drupal events like DrupalCons, DrupalCamps, and Acquia Engage. He is set to speak at DrupalCon Barcelona in September, where he will also serve as a track team lead for the Agency & Business track.
Will’s involvement in the Drupal community extends beyond speaking engagements. He has led the Drupal Swag Shop Working Group and recently joined the Starshot marketing team. Residing in Cambridge, UK, with his wife Anabel and their dog Daisy, Will balances his professional life with personal interests such as tennis and bridge.
In his campaign statement, Will emphasized that
"Drupal is in the early phase of a significant transformation as a platform and as a brand. Success will elevate Drupal as THE open-source alternative to commercial web solutions from Wix to Adobe, competing toe to toe and coming out on top."
Will's motivation for running in this election is rooted in a desire to be part of this transformative journey.
"I aim to champion innovation and change to elevate Drupal to the next level."
stated Will.
Will highlights his strategic thinking, decision-making, and leadership skills as key qualifications for the board. He promises to advocate for necessary changes while approaching challenges with sensitivity, empathy, and a collaborative spirit. His campaign is driven by a single question:
"What must happen for our vision to become a reality?"
