Call for Speakers: Submit Your Expertise for DrupalCamp Chattanooga
Drupal Camp Chattanooga is accepting session proposals for its joint event on November 2, 2024. Although the session submission deadline was over by August 26, they have extended the time without announcing a new end date. Organizers encourage developers, site builders, and open-source enthusiasts to submit presentations exploring a wide range of technical and community topics.
Each session will last 45 minutes, with an additional 10 to 15 minutes reserved for audience Q&A. Organizers plan to record all sessions for later viewing. If speakers require early acceptance due to travel or other considerations, they are encouraged to notify the event team in advance.
A recent survey of potential attendees indicated strong interest in topics such as local development environments, Composer, Git, DevOps workflows, module development, PHP, security, accessibility, and cloud services like AWS. The event also welcomes submissions on non-Drupal subjects, including JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular), comparisons with other content management systems (WordPress, Craft CMS), integrations with Drupal, case studies, and general web technologies like CSS or free software. Business-oriented topics, SysAdmin, DevOps, and human-centred discussions on issues like imposter syndrome and inclusion are also encouraged.
This event provides an opportunity to share both Drupal-specific knowledge and insights on broader open-source issues, catering to a diverse and engaged audience.
