Drupal Community Summit Scheduled at DrupalCon Chicago 2026
A Drupal Community Summit will be held during DrupalCon Chicago 2026 on 23 March 2026 from 08:55 to 16:00 CDT in Chicago, Illinois. The event is designed as a discussion-focused gathering for members of the Drupal ecosystem, including both new participants and long-time contributors.
The summit will bring together community members to discuss initiatives related to participation, collaboration, and governance within the Drupal project. Sessions are structured to encourage open conversation and knowledge exchange among attendees with different levels of experience in the community.
John Picozzi, solutions architect at EPAM and lead organiser of the Drupal Community Summit, has encouraged DrupalCon attendees to participate in the event. In a LinkedIn post announcing the summit, Picozzi described it as a space for contributors across experience levels to connect, share perspectives, and discuss initiatives shaping the future of the Drupal community.
Participation in the summit requires pre-registration through the DrupalCon Chicago event platform. Attendees must add the Drupal Community Summit to their existing DrupalCon registration in order to take part in the sessions.
The programme includes lightning talks, panel discussions, and facilitated conversations covering topics such as community outreach, contributor pathways, and organisational initiatives within the Drupal ecosystem.
