Mark Conroy Shares March 2026 Contributions to LocalGov Drupal
A post by Mark Conroy outlines his contributions to LocalGov Drupal during March 2026, covering updates across theming, module development, and frontend improvements.
One update introduces a configurable theme setting for Service Landing Pages and Sub-Landing Pages, allowing between one and four items per row instead of fixed layouts. The change aligns with evolving GOV.UK design recommendations and improves layout flexibility. View issue
Several technical improvements were also completed. Cache tag handling for the Content Access by Path module was fixed and released in version 1.1.3, improving caching reliability. Coding standards updates were applied to LocalGov Base, and jQuery was removed from LocalGov Events in favour of vanilla JavaScript.
Work is ongoing to improve Service Landing Pages, particularly around adding support for external links. This effort spans multiple repositories, including updates to LocalGov Services, introduction of a new “Children” field in LocalGov Base, and related theme compatibility work.
On the theming side, the updated LocalGov Scarfolk design has been released, with a merge request proposed to make it the default theme for LocalGov Drupal. View merge request
