Jacob Rockowitz to Discuss Drupal AI and Webform at Bluefly Town Hall
Community members can hear Webform maintainer Jacob Rockowitz discuss Drupal AI during a Bluefly.io Town Hall on 23 July 2026. The Google Meet session is scheduled to begin at 18:00 UTC. Jacob also maintains the Schema.org Blueprints module. Norah Schrum, director of delivery and program operations at Bluefly.io, is organising the event.
The discussion will connect practical Webform questions with Jacob’s recent experiments in AI-assisted Drupal development. The organisers’ briefing notes say he may share his screen to demonstrate tools or workflows during the question-and-answer session. Planned topics include changes to his coding workflow, the effect of AI on his work, newer development tools, and AI’s role in maintaining Webform.
Jacob has built websites for more than 20 years and began maintaining the current Webform codebase in 2015. Drupal.org’s latest available usage table, dated 3 May 2026, records 328,090 reporting sites using Webform; the figures include only sites that use the Update Status module. He has also worked with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center for two decades, including migrations from a custom content management system to Drupal 6 and later Drupal 8. Since March 2026, his Drupal (AI) Playground blog posts have documented work with Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, agent instructions, Drupal recipes, module development, reusable skills, and the effect of AI on open-source work.
