DrupalAsia Connect India 2027 Opens Call for Speakers
Speakers have until 18 September 2026 to submit session proposals for DrupalAsia Connect India 2027, according to the event's call for speakers. The event is scheduled for 21–23 January 2027 at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay in Mumbai. The call invites proposals from Drupal end users, translators, organisers, executives, marketers, editors, content strategists, designers, developers, and other community participants.
The event accepts 45-minute talks for detailed discussions, demonstrations, case studies, or technical deep dives, as well as 20-minute lightning talks for focused ideas, experiences, or practical takeaways. Each speaker may submit up to two proposals and participate in no more than two sessions, only one of which may be solo. Accepted sessions receive one free event ticket, and proposals can be edited until the submission deadline.
Seven tracks cover Agency, Business & Marketing; Success Stories & Innovation; Development, AI and Agentic Architecture; Drupal CMS; Community Health; Digital Sovereignty & Open Web; and User Experience, Accessibility, & Design. The programme spans Drupal development and site building, business and project leadership, case studies, artificial intelligence, community well-being, digital sovereignty, accessibility, usability, and design. Speakers are asked to choose the track that best represents the primary focus of their proposal.
Submission guidelines state that sessions should share knowledge rather than promote products or services, with priority given to material that is not readily available online. Experienced speakers are encouraged to collaborate with other community members, including through cross-organisation panels and co-presentations. All speakers and facilitators must read and follow the DrupalAsia Connect Code of Conduct.
The organisers also encourage submissions from speakers and facilitators from marginalised groups as part of the event's stated inclusion policy. Drupalers Association Pune is hosting the event in association with IIT Bombay, while the DrupalAsia Steering Committee is listed as working with the event. Applicants must create an account before submitting a proposal through the session submission form.
