Webhaven Drupal Site Template Now Available for Purchase
Developer Fons Vandamme has launched Webhaven as a commercially available Drupal site template, following earlier previews and demonstrations of the project. Vandamme confirmed the launch in a LinkedIn announcement, describing a product developed from his 16 years of Drupal experience, including ten years helping build and grow a Belgian Drupal agency.
The release makes Webhaven available for purchase as a preconfigured Drupal codebase intended to reduce repetitive setup work. It combines Drupal Recipes, reusable components, prefilled content, search engine optimisation settings, multilingual configuration, contact and newsletter forms, and editorial workflows. The template is designed for developers, agencies and newcomers building Drupal websites.
According to the official pricing page, Webhaven is available at an introductory price of €799 per project, reduced from €949, including VAT. The one-time licence covers one Drupal installation on one domain, including local, development and staging copies. Purchasers receive the complete source code, future updates and two months of priority support without a recurring subscription. Hosting is not included. The published licence terms distinguish Drupal-integrated code covered by the GNU GPL from other supplied materials governed by Webhaven’s commercial terms. Those terms permit use on one licensed website and its development copies, while placing restrictions on redistribution of materials covered by the commercial licence. In a response to a question about the wording of his product page, Vandamme clarified that “yours to own” was intended to describe freedom from vendor lock-in, not a transfer of copyright.
The template incorporates Drupal Canvas for visual page building, with five layouts, 14 components, 16 sections, and seven atomic elements listed on the current product page. Its theme uses Single Directory Components (SDC), with a Starterkit for creating custom themes. Webhaven also provides documentation and supports local development using DDEV.
The commercial launch follows previous development milestones covered by The DropTimes. An April 2026 report documented Webhaven's Drupal Canvas integration and demonstration website. Vandamme had also discussed the project's origins, development approach, and intended audience in a September 2025 interview with The DropTimes.
Vandamme acknowledged in his launch announcement that completing the template had taken longer than expected. Its commercial availability marks the transition from a publicly demonstrated project to a purchasable product with defined licensing and support terms.
Additional information about Webhaven, including its features, documentation, live demonstration, and purchasing options, is available on the official website.
