Stories by Professor Graham Leach
Graham Leach began his career as a Lecturer at Hong Kong’s largest university, designing, managing, and delivering an award-winning Graduate Entrepreneurship Program that launched more than 300 startups over a decade. Starting in 2012, he also served as a “consulting academic,” partnering with companies across diverse industries—an experience that eased his transition to the private sector when he took early retirement in 2022.
During his tenure in academia, Leach helped establish numerous projects in the university’s incubator at InnoCentre, founded and led the Blockchain Applications Research Lab, and created a graduate-level Blockchain curriculum. He also spent a sabbatical year in 2021 teaching at the Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation (DIDI). His primary research interests focus on Elective and Ephemeral Economies, which often manifest rapidly in the Blockchain, Web3, Cryptocurrency, and AI sectors. In recognition of his work, he received an honorary Ph.D. in 2022.
Leach now books most consulting engagements through Remediare, a brand he created to help clients identify, prioritize, and develop four forms of capital—Financial, Intellectual, Social, and Human (FISH). Drawing on his background in Management Consulting, Organizational Theory, Behavioral Psychology, Creativity, Entrepreneurship, and more, he continues to guide organizations and startups in fast-paced digital industries seeking innovative growth and sustainable success.
