JOB DESCRIPTION

Serve as the Principal Drupal Engineer responsible for planning, building, and enhancing a Drupal-based platform for the next generation of the company's e-commerce business.
Play a key role in shaping and prioritizing the technical backlog.
Drive and maintain a consistent code review process across the engineering team.
Lead and influence critical architectural and technical design decisions.
Translate business objectives into scalable, maintainable, and high-quality software solutions.
Collaborate closely with engineering, marketing, merchandising, sales, and operations teams.
Design and deliver systems that support core business functions.
Support the migration from a legacy platform to a modern Drupal-based architecture.
Introduce and promote modern software development practices and workflows.
Leverage AI-assisted and agentic development tools, including:
- Claude Code
- OpenAI Codex
- GitHub Copilot
- Cursor
- Similar AI-powered coding tools
Solve complex architectural and engineering challenges in a large-scale e-commerce environment.
Advocate for strong code quality, maintainability, and practical software delivery.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship through engineering excellence and best practices.
Act as a senior individual contributor with significant technical leadership responsibilities.
No direct people management responsibilities.
