Drupal Developer Job at Bitkom

• Maintain and continuously enhance the organization's web ecosystem, covering both frontend and backend development, primarily using Drupal.
• Regularly evaluate and improve the existing system and web architecture, including CMS, integrations, and hosting infrastructure.
• Develop, integrate, and maintain connections with third-party systems such as CRM and Power BI.
• Manage and enhance the organization's RAG-based AI search solution by:
  • Maintaining the Python (FastAPI) infrastructure.
  • Integrating external Large Language Models (LLMs).  
  • Optimizing the PostgreSQL database.
  • Maintaining the integration with the Drupal frontend.
• Collaborate closely with internal developers and external partners within the Bitkom ecosystem.
• Provide technical support and guidance on web platform-related questions across the organization. 

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Drupal development, including both frontend and backend, with several years of professional experience preferred.
• Experience with system architecture and technical design, including CMS selection, scalability, and hosting strategies.
• Proficiency in professional software development practices, including:
  • Git version control.
  • CI/CD pipelines.
  • Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, with initial experience or a strong willingness to work with AI APIs.
• Practical and critical experience using AI coding assistants.
• Excellent German language skills (minimum C1 level), both written and spoken.
• Good English proficiency for reading and writing technical documentation.
