Senior Drupal Developer Job at PROGRESSIVE digital

• Understand and work on existing Drupal projects.
• Develop and maintain custom Drupal modules and themes.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and fix technical issues and bugs.
• Discuss project requirements directly with clients in German.
• Estimate development effort and project timelines.
• Explain technical possibilities, limitations, and risks to clients.
• Coordinate and agree on next steps with clients.
• Review code changes through code reviews and testing.
• Prepare and coordinate software deployments.
• Develop rollback plans to reverse changes if problems occur.
• Document important technical decisions and project knowledge for the team.
• Collaborate with design, UX, project management, and external development partners.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Several years of practical experience in Drupal and PHP development.
• Experience working with existing Drupal installations, including customized implementations.
• Ability to demonstrate Drupal expertise through specific projects and clearly describe individual contributions.
• General PHP experience or experience with other CMS platforms alone is not sufficient.
• Very good German language skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to independently conduct technical client discussions and workshops in German.
• Ability to clarify requirements and document technical decisions in writing.
• Proficiency in Git and Composer.
• Experience with code reviews, testing, and deployments.
• Ability to estimate development tasks and make technical decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

• English language skills for collaboration with external development partners.
• Experience with hosting environments.
• Experience with automated regression testing.
