Mark Conroy Shares Practical Workarounds for Drupal Workspaces at LocalGov Meetup

Mark Conroy, founder of The Confident and Front-end Lead for LocalGov Drupal, presented a session at the LocalGov Drupal Content Meetup examining practical uses of Drupal’s Workspaces module for managing staged content updates.

The presentation focused on how teams can use the Workspaces module to stage content changes before deploying them to a live site. Mark Conroy demonstrated approaches to organising workspaces, managing staged revisions, and selectively publishing content updates rather than deploying all staged changes at once.

A key part of the session addressed challenges that often arise when implementing workspace-based workflows. Conroy discussed techniques for avoiding accidental edits in the wrong workspace, previewing unpublished content for stakeholders, and moving specific pieces of content between workspaces to resolve publishing conflicts.

Although the session was delivered for the LocalGov Drupal community, the techniques discussed are applicable to any Drupal website using the core Workspaces module.
