FlowDrop UI Agents Alpha Introduces Visual Workflow Builder for Drupal AI Agents
The FlowDrop UI Agents module has entered alpha release for Drupal, introducing a visual editor for designing and managing AI agent workflows. The project integrates the FlowDrop automation interface with Drupal’s AI Agents system through the Modeler API, allowing developers and site builders to configure workflows through a drag-and-drop interface.
Drupal contributor David Galeano Barrado announced the release and invited developers to experiment with the module and provide feedback. The project is maintained by Galeano Barrado together with James Abrahams.
Version 1.0.0-alpha3, released on 9 March 2026, is compatible with Drupal ^11. The module allows users to design, configure, and manage AI agent workflows from a single visual interface rather than editing multiple configuration forms. FlowDrop UI writes directly to existing AI agent configuration entities, enabling developers to create new agents or modify existing ones while retaining compatibility with Drupal’s standard configuration system.
Because the editor relies on the Modeler API, it remains decoupled from specific workflow engines. Developers can switch between FlowDrop’s visual editor and alternative modelling tools such as BPMN.io without changing the underlying configuration structure.
The alpha release is intended for experimentation rather than production deployment. Developers interested in testing the visual workflow builder can explore the module through environments such as Drupal Forge, where demonstration templates are available for evaluation and feedback.
