Drupal 11.3.6 Released With Bug Fixes and Stability Improvements

A new patch update for the Drupal 11 core series, version 11.3.6, was released on 8 April 2026, focusing on bug fixes, stability improvements and incremental refinements across key subsystems. The update is production-ready and recommended for sites already running Drupal 11.

The release addresses issues across several core areas, including Media Library behaviour, Views, migration handling and language negotiation. Improvements have also been made to ensure better compatibility with newer PHP versions, alongside performance optimisations and enhancements to developer experience.

A minor adjustment has been introduced to the experimental Package Manager module, where the system now displays a warning instead of an error during early-stage testing. This change reflects ongoing work to stabilise the feature while maintaining usability for developers evaluating the module.

Drupal 11.3.x will continue to receive security support until December 2026, providing organisations with a maintained and supported environment for ongoing development and operations. The release follows Drupal’s regular patch cycle, which focuses on resolving reported issues without introducing breaking changes.

Site owners and administrators are encouraged to review the update and apply it to benefit from the latest fixes, performance improvements and compatibility updates. As with all patch releases, updates can typically be applied without major disruption, though standard testing practices are recommended before deployment.
