JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Develop and maintain custom Drupal 10+ modules using modern APIs and Drupal best practices.
  • Design and implement secure API integrations with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Slate, and Workday.
  • Maintain, refactor, and modernize legacy PHP codebases for long-term sustainability and compatibility.
  • Partner with the Marketing Director to implement GA4 analytics tracking, event tracking, and server-side tagging.
  • Build author-friendly Drupal administrative interfaces using Paragraphs to enable non-technical content management.
  • Monitor and optimize Core Web Vitals, website performance, and page speed to improve SEO and user experience.
  • Manage hosting environments (e.g., Pantheon) and oversee deployment pipelines.
  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, regression testing, security updates, and version upgrades.
  • Serve as the primary technical troubleshooter during high-traffic institutional events.
  • Document technical implementations, API integrations, and development standards.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Director and Web Lead to assess technical feasibility of new digital initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Drupal backend development and API integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Drupal 10+ architecture
    • REST APIs
    • JSON
    • OAuth and authentication workflows
  • Proficiency with:
    • Drupal
    • PHP
    • JavaScript
    • Composer
    • Git
  • Ability to translate complex technical requirements into solutions for marketing and business stakeholders. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or Graduate degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Drupal, WordPress, and API development.
