JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Participate in the graphical and technical redesign of one or more Drupal websites.
  • Integrate UX/UI mockups while meeting functional and visual design requirements.
  • Develop and maintain Drupal themes using Twig and Drupal theming best practices.
  • Design reusable, maintainable, and scalable front-end components.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design across devices.
  • Optimize front-end performance and improve web quality metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility standards such as RGAA and WCAG.
  • Collaborate closely with Drupal back-end developers to integrate content and functionality.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.
  • Contribute to the project's technical documentation. 

Required Technical Skills

Drupal Expertise

  • Strong experience with Drupal 9, Drupal 10, or later versions.
  • Solid understanding of the Drupal theming system.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Twig templating engine.
  • Experience customizing Drupal themes and overriding templates.
  • Good understanding of Drupal rendering, preprocess functions, and data structures. 

Front-End Development

  • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Excellent knowledge of Sass/SCSS.
  • Strong understanding of responsive web design and CSS frameworks (where applicable).
  • Experience delivering pixel-perfect implementations from Figma, Adobe XD, or equivalent design tools.
  • Knowledge of front-end performance optimization techniques and tools. 

Tools & Methodologies

  • Proficiency with Git and collaborative Git workflows.
  • Experience with front-end build tools such as Vite, Webpack, Gulp, or similar.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Experience using project management and issue tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent. 

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working on Drupal projects with a strong front-end focus.
  • Strong UX/UI awareness and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to estimate workload accurately and meet project deadlines. 

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Design Systems and component-based development.
  • Experience with Storybook.
  • Strong understanding of RGAA standards and digital accessibility requirements.
  • Experience with Docker and Continuous Integration (CI) environments.
  • Experience working on high-traffic website migration or redesign projects.
