Stephanie is a software developer specializing in AI integration, accessibility, and security. She came to development via an unusual path: a master's degree in history, 14 years of experience in project management, and an apprenticeship as an application developer (IHK), where Java was as much a part of her craft as PHP. This combination shapes her work: she considers projects holistically and places great importance on testability and maintainability.

She spends most of her time working with PHP and Drupal, and is particularly fascinated by AI integration: she contributes to the Drupal AI Initiative. In her very first year on drupal.org, she earned four core credits and in 2026 released her own module, "Accessibility Statement," for barrier-free declarations in accordance with the German Federal Funding Act (BFSG) and the German Accessibility Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) for the public sector. As a maintainer, she tests Drupal modules for security and releases them for official security updates. At Progressive Digital, she contributes to numerous projects, from development to infrastructure.
