JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Define Drupal site architecture, content models, and multisite or distribution strategy.
  • Develop custom modules, services, and integrations; lead major version upgrades and migrations.
  • Implement security hardening, patch management, caching, and performance tuning.
  • Ensure front-end delivery meets Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements.
  • Lead code review, CI/CD configuration, and mentoring of mid-level developers. 

    Minimum Qualifications
     
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Two (2) years of specialized experience may substitute for one (1) year of the academic requirement.
  • Minimum Experience: Five (5) to eight (8) years of Drupal development experience, including at least one (1) major version upgrade or platform migration.
  • Certifications — Required: Acquia Certified Developer - Drupal.
  • Certifications — Obtainable After Hire: Acquia Certified Back End Specialist or Front End Specialist, within 180 days of assignment.
  • Certifications — Preferred: Acquia Certified Cloud Pro; Acquia Certified Site Builder.
  • Required Skills: PHP; Drupal 9/10; custom module development; theming (Twig); security hardening; Migrate API; Composer and Drush; caching and performance optimization.
  • Preferred Skills: Headless and decoupled Drupal; accessible front-end development; federal web environments; content governance at scale.
