Senior Drupal Developer Job at Swoon

• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of the Drupal 10-to-Drupal 11 migration.
• Perform hands-on Drupal development, including code modifications, module updates, and compatibility fixes.
• Work with Acquia Cloud Classic to manage application environments, deployments, and platform upgrades.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues throughout the migration process.
• Conduct testing and validation to ensure application functionality, stability, and compatibility after upgrades.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to coordinate migration activities and resolve technical challenges.
• Participate in Agile sprints and contribute to project milestones and delivery goals.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and knowledge transfer to internal engineering teams.
• Support occasional overnight maintenance windows between 12 AM and 5 AM as required.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on Drupal development skills.
• Knowledge of PHP, Drupal modules, and Drupal application development.
• Experience with Acquia Cloud and cloud-hosted Drupal environments.
• Understanding of Drupal upgrade processes, code compatibility, troubleshooting, and application deployments.
• Ability to take technical ownership and guide migration projects.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, coordination, and technical leadership skills.
• Willingness to support occasional overnight maintenance activities.

Experience

• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining Drupal applications.
• Experience upgrading or migrating Drupal applications, preferably from Drupal 10 to Drupal 11.
• Experience taking technical ownership or leading Drupal migration projects.
• Practical experience with Acquia Cloud; experience with Acquia Cloud Classic is preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting code compatibility issues and supporting application deployments.
• Familiarity with Composer, Drush, Git, and CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments is preferred.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale Drupal applications is preferred.
