I have nearly 30 years experience supporting high quality policy, advocacy and research outcomes in the union, community and non-profit sector. This includes extensive and proven experience in policy development and analysis, research and writing, in a diverse range of sectors: overseas development aid, higher education, homelessness and housing, aged care, mental health, and drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

I am a particularly skilled writer, experienced at taking a large body of information, including material gathered from interviews and client case studies, and turning it into concise, highly readable documents for a wide range of audiences of varying levels of expertise, to strict deadlines.

I have also worked as a journalist in Australia and Southeast Asia and am an award winning author of fiction and non-fiction.

For the last decade I have chosen to work short term and/or part time. This was to enable me to complete a PhD, to sustain my wider creative practice, and make time for family.
