PreviousNext Backs Drupal Starshot and Experience Builder

During DrupalCon Portland 2024, Kim Pepper, Co-Founder and Tech Director of PreviousNext, announced the company's support for the Starshot initiative, with a particular focus on the Experience Builder project. Starshot, built on top of Drupal Core and tentatively named “Drupal CMS,” aims to simplify the creation of Drupal sites by offering best-practice templates and configurations. This approach seeks to clarify the dual nature of Drupal as both a product and a framework, attracting new users with streamlined site creation using contributed modules and configurations. Unlike Drupal Core, the releases for Drupal CMS will not be tied to the core, allowing for rapid innovation and adaptation to new best practices.

The Experience Builder initiative, spearheaded by core committer Lauri Eskola, aims to revolutionize page-building in Drupal by integrating innovative user interface designs with Drupal's strengths in structured data.
