Kevin Reynen (kreynen)

Kevin is a senior Drupal developer currently working for University Information Systems at University of Colorado. He volunteers as the chair of Drupal's Licensing Working Group and has helped maintain dozens of popular contrib projects including CSS Injector, Site Verify, Google CSE, Views Isotope and RAVE Alerts.

I've been developing open source solutions to solve shared problems since 2001. While much of my work involves code, I often find myself in the role of fostering collaboration between people and organizations on many projects.

I wrote and maintain several popular Drupal modules used by hundreds of thousands of sites. I've built sites that have been recognized by CASE, Adobe, Knight-Batten and the Online News Association.

I often present about my work and the work of the teams I've managed at conferences and camps including:
• Stanford Web Camp - 2022
• HAXCamp Duke - 2019
• Drupal Camp Colorado - 2018
• BADCamp Berkeley- 2015
• Community Media SXSW Summit Austin - 2014
• CiviCon San Francisco - 2014
• CiviCamp DC - 2013
• Drupal Camp Colorado - 2013
• Drupal Camp Austin - 2013
• CiviCon San Francisco - 2013
• Grass Roots Radio Conference Urbana - 2012
• Community Media Camp Urbana - 2012
• Alliance for Community Media National Conference Chicago - 2012
• BADCamp Berkeley - 2011
• Drupal 4 Design Boston - 2011
• DrupalCon San Francisco - 2010

I have mentored high school and college students through Google's Summer of Code (GSoC) and Code-In programs since 2010. In 2014 I led the CiviCRM project's participation in GSoC Program as the organization admin. Google continues to pay 5-6 students each year to contribute to CiviCRM. In total, Google has now invested more than $250K in the CiviCRM project.
