Acquia Site Studio Introduces Unified Content Management for Drupal and Headless Apps
Acquia, a leader in digital experience solutions, has introduced new functionalities to Acquia Site Studio, its low-code Drupal website builder. This latest development, as highlighted by Laura Kempke, the author, enables developers and marketers to seamlessly create and manage digital experiences for both traditional Drupal websites and headless applications using the same content platform. This unification allows marketers to craft engaging digital experiences without overburdening development and IT resources, streamlining the overall workflow.
Known for providing an intuitive visual page-building and content-authoring experience for Drupal, Site Studio allows non-technical users to create components and layouts without delving into PHP and JavaScript. With the addition of the new JSON:API for Site Studio, JavaScript and front-end developers can now access the content and layouts created via Site Studio in decoupled or headless applications, facilitating the creation of more interactive and engaging digital experiences.
Jim Shaw, SVP and General Manager, Drupal Cloud at Acquia, highlighted the significance of this enhancement, stating, "As more teams adopt a hybrid approach combining headless and traditional applications, we’ve created a way to easily leverage the same content everywhere." This advancement is poised to simplify content creation and management across diverse digital channels for developers and digital marketers.
