NEDCamp 2024: Session & Training Submissions Are Open
New England Drupal Camp (NEDCamp) will host its annual event on November 15 and 16, 2024, at Rhode Island College in Providence, RI. The camp, which focuses on inclusivity, welcomes participants of all levels, from beginners to seasoned professionals.
To diversify its speaker lineup, NEDCamp offers four speaking slots reserved for first-time speakers, encouraging individuals from underrepresented groups to share their insights and ideas.
Prospective speakers are invited to submit session and training proposals before the August 25, 2024 deadline. The selection process will prioritize a range of criteria beyond just experience, aiming to highlight fresh perspectives and innovative concepts.
The camp is seeking submissions on various topics, including Drupal, website design, website development, project management, and related fields. Creativity is encouraged, and potential topics range from site building and migrations to Drupal strategic initiatives and DevOps practices.
Sessions will be allocated 45 minutes, including time for Q&A, and are scheduled for Saturday, November 16th. Meanwhile, training will take place on Friday, November 15th, and will be offered in both half-day and full-day formats.
According to the organizers, proposals will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with final selections made after the submission deadline. All speakers will be promptly notified of their acceptance status.
In providing submission tips, organizers advise prospective speakers to furnish comprehensive details about their proposed sessions. This makes it easier for the selection team to gauge the relevance and potential impact of the presentation. They also encourage newcomers to the speaking circuit to proudly declare their rookie status.
