Highlights from EvolveDrupal Montreal: Page Builder Battle Results and NYC Preview
Evolving Web hosted the Page Builder Battle at EvolveDrupal Montreal, featuring representatives for Layout Builder, Paragraphs, Gutenberg, and Webflow competing in a website-building challenge. Yue Lu represented Webflow, the reigning champion from EvolveDrupal Atlanta, and received praise for Webflow's all-in-one approach despite not retaining the crown.
Robert N. showcased Drupal Layout Builder's drag-and-drop tools, though some participants felt the editing experience could be more intuitive. Jesse Dyck highlighted WordPress Gutenberg's clean interface, but the audience noted some layout design restrictions. Firat Faik Ikiler represented WordPress Elementor, earning points for its straightforward and powerful editing experience despite some limitations related to theme compatibility. Ultimately, Marien Regnault with Drupal Paragraphs emerged victorious, impressing the audience with its efficiency and flexibility in structuring content using predefined components.
More information is available here for those interested in a detailed comparison of each builder's strengths and weaknesses. The Page Builder Battle will return for a rematch at EvolveDrupal NYC on September 20, 2024.
