Drunomics Unveils Custom Elements UI at Drupal Developer Days 2024

Roderik Muit and Alexandru Ieremia of drunomics presented the new Custom Elements module at Drupal Developer Days in Burgas, in June 2024. This session, part of an informal "Birds of a Feather" discussion, introduced the latest version of the Custom Elements module, a vital part of drunomics' headless Drupal solutions. The updated module features a user interface allowing developers to include or exclude any entity property and modify output formats without writing Drupal/PHP code. This advancement enables quicker backend and frontend updates, facilitating faster website changes.

The session generated considerable interest, with attendees eager to understand the workings of the Custom Elements UI, the underlying code, and the process for creating custom formatters. One participant noted that Lupus Decoupled, another drunomics solution, effectively addressed the issue of resource-heavy JSON:API queries on his primary website. The session emphasized that Lupus Decoupled is ready for experienced developers and is completely open-source.

drunomics has made the new version of the Custom Elements module with its UI alterations available as a development version, with plans for a beta release underway.
