Drupal Starshot Initiative Introduces New Contribution Bonuses

The Drupal community has introduced new contribution bonuses for the Starshot initiative, aimed at recognizing and rewarding those who lead and contribute to the project. This initiative leverages Drupal's powerful contribution credit system to incentivize both individuals and organizations.

Community pledges are a cornerstone of Starshot, with the Drupal Association and the Starshot Leadership Team reviewing these pledges to align contributors with specific project tracks. Contribution rewards include 10 credits per issue for contributions to designated Starshot modules and themes, 50 credits per week for organizational pledges of dedicated team members, and 1 credit per $100 invested in the innovation fund, starting from a $5,000 minimum. Additionally, special credit bounties are available for addressing critical issues requiring extensive community effort.

Alejandro Moreno López has also announced updates to the Drupal Bounty Program, introducing extra credits for high-impact contributions to Drupal core. Contributors can earn 50 credits for resolving issues that significantly improve the core, enhancing its user-friendliness and efficiency.
