Alejandro Moreno López (alexmoreno)
I work for the Drupal Association where I’m involved working closely with the CTO in the innovation strategy, the Pitch-Burgh initiative, or the engineering team amongst other tasks.
My experience includes roles as Technical Architect, Software Engineer and Technical Solutions Manager. In the past I have worked as a developer, I have lead small, medium and big enterprise teams, co-found up to 3 different companies with different partners in Technology, Content management, Marketing Online and Tourism, and be lucky enough to have worked and Lead some of the biggest Enterprise projects in Drupal like Royal Mail, Parcelforce, Novartis, National Grid, Bayer or BBC.
During my tenure at Acquia I developed an increasing interest for the Developer Relations industry. I believe it is a role with an impressive future and importance for the industry, and a truly interesting mix between different areas, like marketing, sales or purely engineering.
Although I have discovered such a role recently, I have, since I began my career in the early 2000, develop a passion to share knowledge, be it in my own blog, offline magazines (with Prensa Tecnica editorial, Spain), or more recently with Acquia, where I had the opportunity of representing Acquia developer tools at different events, the most important ones Acquia Engage or the annual gathering of Drupal developers Drupalcon, and lastly as developer relations at Pantheon.
