Morpht Enhances Convivial for GovCMS with Major Update

SYDNEY — Morpht has rolled out a major update to Convivial for GovCMS (Bootstrap), enhancing government website capabilities with advanced Digital Experience Platform (DXP) features, including improved personalization, search, analytics, and security.

The update introduces Convivial Profiler, an upgraded personalization engine that segments audiences by topics, stages, and intents to deliver tailored content. Additionally, Recombee, an AI-powered recommendation system, has been integrated to provide content suggestions such as “Top Picks” and “Trending Now.”

Matomo analytics is now incorporated, allowing agencies to track user behaviour with detailed audience insights. The update also includes a privacy settings widget, enabling users to customize consent preferences, reflecting growing concerns over data security and transparency.

Search functionality has been refined for better indexing, boosting content visibility based on type and recency. A new Decision Flow component has been added to guide users through complex processes, improving usability for agencies handling regulatory and legislative content.

For user safety, the Quick Exit feature allows immediate site departure, a critical tool for sensitive government services. On the backend, the update replaces the Claro theme with Gin for a more modern administrative experience.

Accessibility improvements ensure compliance with high standards, addressing color contrast, navigation structure, and mobile usability. 

“We are close to achieving AAA compliance across the site, with a commitment to maintaining AA standards,” Morpht stated.

Convivial for GovCMS serves as a flexible, compliance-focused solution for government websites, offering a non-opinionated Bootstrap-based design.
