DUG München Meetup to Focus on Translation, Localization, and Multilingual Strategies in Drupal
MUNICH— The Drupal User Group München will hold its next meetup on April 9, 2025, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at BRANDCODE GmbH, Gaßnerstr. 23. The session will center on translation, localization, and managing multilingual content in Drupal—core topics for many Drupal practitioners.
The event will feature two keynote talks. Ralf Richtsteiger, senior frontend developer at picturemaxx AG, will present on translation workflows using POTX and Poedit, focusing on translating custom modules and managing extensions.
In a joint session, Christopher Lewis, CTO of BRANDCODE GmbH, and Christian Wiedemann, managing director and developer at keytech GmbH, will explore semi-automatic translation workflows using TMGMT, DeepL, and ChatGPT. Their talk will highlight ways to improve editorial efficiency when working with multilingual content.
Discussion topics will include symmetric vs. asymmetric translation, handling partially translated content, and glossary management for technical terminology. The meetup is aimed at both developers and content editors working with multilingual or regionalized Drupal websites.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own use cases and insights to contribute to the conversation.
