Pipeline Automation with GitHub Actions at DrupalCon Atlanta 2025

DrupalCon Atlanta 2025 begins today, and among the scheduled sessions is a Lightning Talk set for tomorrow, March 26, at 12:15 PM, titled “From manual to magical: our pipeline revamp.” The session will be presented by Samuel Rollin, CEO and Managing Director of Rollin agency, and Haylee Millar, Senior Product Engineer at Platform.sh.

The presentation will focus on pipeline automation using GitHub Actions in conjunction with Platform.sh's deployment process. It will cover how to automate quality assurance, security checks, and compliance workflows as part of continuous integration and deployment practices.

“The presentation will give attendees an introduction of the tools and best practices to automate quality, security and compliance using deploy pipelines,”

Samuel told The DropTimes. The talk will also include code samples and a live demonstration.

From Manual to Magical

Samuel, who leads an agency focused primarily on government digital projects, highlighted the value of DrupalCon in maintaining connections across the open-source community.

“What we love the most about DrupalCon is really the opportunity to connect with the community, get the chance to catch up with partners and friends in the industry, and just the overall vibe and energy of the event,”

he said.

This year, his team is particularly interested in sessions focused on government, AI agents in Drupal, and the ongoing development of the new experience builder.

“We usually like to share the learnings with our dev and product teams so that we can make sure to always be at the forefront of innovation within Drupal,”

Rollin added.

He also pointed to artificial intelligence as a key area of interest this year, especially its impact on content workflows such as governance, generation, moderation, and translation.

The Lightning Talk will take place on the Lightning Talk stage at 12:15 PM on March 26.
