Who’s Speaking at Drupal Dev Days Leuven 2025: A Look at the Keynotes
Drupal Developer Days Leuven 2025, happening April 15–18 at the KULeuven Technology Campus, has announced its keynote speakers. The event, now in its 14th year, is a major gathering for the Drupal, Symfony, and PHP communities, offering workshops, technical sessions, and networking for open-source professionals.

Keynotes include Thijs Suijten, who will speak on “Innovating for Impact,” showcasing how developers can drive global change through technology—from wildlife protection to open-source solutions.

Dr. Merlijn Sebrechts will explore “WebAssembly Beyond the Browser.” As a senior researcher at imec and lecturer at Ghent University, Sebrechts brings deep expertise in systems design, open source, and IoT, including his work with the W3C and Bytecode Alliance.

James Abrahams will discuss “AI is the New UI,” revealing how AI integration is transforming the Drupal CMS to make advanced features more intuitive.

Cristina Chumillas will speak about “Drupal CMS Now and Beyond,” sharing progress since Drupal CMS 1.0 and what’s ahead on the roadmap.
