Drupal Security Team Launches LinkedIn Page to Share Updates and Best Practices
The Drupal Security Team has launched a new LinkedIn page to better connect with the Drupal community and share security-related updates. The team asks for feedback on what followers would like to see posted and encourages users to help grow the page by sharing it with others.
Planned content includes weekly summaries of new security releases and longer articles offering advice from official documentation, explanations of common security misconceptions, and analysis of industry trends such as software bill of materials (SBOM) requirements. The team notes that the page will not simply repost security advisories but will offer deeper insights.
Community members have already shared ideas. Chris Kelly, a Drupal consultant and core and module contributor, suggested highlighting real-world security mistakes and their corrections, while avoiding naming individuals, to help others learn from these examples. Jürgen Haas, Co-Founder and Drupal Specialist at LakeDrops, emphasized the need to promote Drupal’s proactive security work. He pointed out that Drupal's security processes are leading in the open-source community and deserve more visibility.
The Security Team invites all interested members to follow the page, share feedback, and help raise awareness of Drupal’s security efforts. For updates and more information, visit the Drupal Security Team’s LinkedIn page.
