Drupal Association Opens Nominations for 2025 At-Large Board Seat

The Drupal Association has released the official timeline for the 2025 At-Large Board Elections, opening the door for a new community member to join the Association’s leadership. The open seat follows the conclusion of Fei Lauren’s term, who served on the board from 2023 to 2025.

Nominations will be accepted from 19 May at 00:00 UTC through 30 May at 23:59 UTC. The election process follows a transparent and community-centred model, with all nominees self-nominating to ensure commitment and readiness to serve. The candidate list will be announced on 2 June, followed by two weeks for the community to learn about the nominees and attend scheduled forums.

Two community forums will be held on 11 June at 09:00 UTC and 17:00 UTC, giving Drupal Association members a chance to ask questions and engage with the candidates directly. Voting opens on 18 June and will run until 11 July at 23:59 UTC, with the newly elected board member to be announced on 15 July 2025.

To be eligible to vote, individuals must have an active Drupal Association membership by 17 June at 00:00 UTC. Anyone unsure of their membership status or missing a ballot is encouraged to contact the Association via [email protected].

Nominees are required to submit a biography, explain their motivation for running, describe their qualifications, confirm their membership status, and commit to attending scheduled forums and board meetings. The Drupal Association encourages candidates from underrepresented and marginalised groups to participate in the process, supporting a more inclusive and representative leadership.
