Drupal's Modeler API Proves Versatile with AI Agent Configuration Demo

At DrupalCon Atlanta, a new Modeler API initiative took shape, aiming to connect complex configuration modules like ECA, Migrate, and AI Agents with visual modeling tools such as bpmn.io. Spearheaded by Jürgen Haas alongside Benji Fisher and Chris Weber, the API promises a more generic and extensible way to manage Drupal configurations visually.

A recent proof-of-concept successfully demonstrated configuring AI Agents including those using deeply nested sub-agents, through a single, unified canvas. This validation confirms the API’s applicability beyond ECA, establishing its potential for broader use within Drupal's ecosystem.

Although still in refinement, the API marks a significant milestone in Drupal’s innovation track. The project, supported by James Abrahams and FreelyGive Ltd, underscores community collaboration in enhancing Drupal’s usability and flexibility.

More details and the demo video are available on Jürgen Haas’ LinkedIn profile.
