The Splash Awards are set to return on October 14, 2025, during DrupalCon Vienna, with a sharp focus on quality and impact. Submissions are now officially open and will be accepted until June 16, 2025.

Each submission will be reviewed by an independent jury and evaluated across seven key dimensions: business case, technical implementation, strategic clarity, user experience, execution quality, innovation, and community value. This structured approach ensures that winners demonstrate not only technical strength but also purpose, usability, and contribution to the wider Drupal ecosystem.

The business case assesses whether a project has met its goals; technology examines how well Drupal is utilised—fast, reliable, and secure. Strategy checks if there’s a vision behind the work, and UX examines how the site serves its users. Execution focuses on details like accessibility and SEO. Innovation rewards originality, and community value recognises what the project gives back to Drupal as a platform and a community.
