Jaymie Strecker Demonstrates Reusable Text in Drupal CKEditor

Site builders can make recurring passages available through CKEditor without copying them into every node. In a tutorial published 21 July 2026, Jaymie Strecker, software developer at Kosada, demonstrates the method through a Drupal directory of local food pantries. The site needed to combine pantry-specific eligibility requirements with wording shared across several records.

Jaymie’s approach treats each recurring passage as a taxonomy term with a formatted-text field. The Entity Embed module adds a CKEditor toolbar control that lets editors select a term and place its rendered content alongside node-specific writing; the relevant text format must also enable Display embedded entities. The pattern moves repeated wording into reusable Drupal entities instead of maintaining separate copies in each node.

As optional cleanup, Inserting Boilerplate Text Into CKEditor in Drupal recommends adjusting theme CSS and using Rabbit Hole to control what happens when a taxonomy term is viewed on its own page. Rabbit Hole affects standalone entity-page behaviour rather than the embedding workflow.
