Jaymie Strecker (jlstrecker)

Jaymie Strecker (they/them) has been a software developer with Kosada since 2010. Jaymie has a strong foundation in software engineering, an aptitude for learning by doing, and a versatile skill set gained through years of experience.

Jaymie has developed Drupal websites for clients in sectors including education, law, manufacturing, and real estate. As a Drupal site-builder and full-stack developer, they've implemented component-based themes, created faceted searches, migrated content, and developed custom functionality to meet the unique requirements of the client's organization.

Collaborating with others at Kosada, Jaymie has helped to create a visual programming environment for creative work called Vuo. Jaymie's role includes solving problems of architecture for a project with nearly 300,000 lines of code, developing multithreaded algorithms, designing APIs, implementing automated tests, and writing hundreds of pages of documentation.

Jaymie graduated with a BA in Computer Science and Mathematics from the College of Wooster in 2004 and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Maryland in 2009. They are proud to have participated in the College of Wooster's Applied Methods and Research Experience program both as a student and as a visiting assistant professor.

Jaymie enjoys taking nature photos and improving their Spanish. They still use a flip phone.
