Drupal 11.4.5 Fixes Views AJAX Error as Drupal 10.6.15 Also Ships

Drupal core maintainers released Drupal 11.4.5 and Drupal 10.6.15 on 6 August 2026. Both are patch releases ready for use on production sites. Drupal 11.4.5 includes a fix for an AJAX error that could prevent administrators from creating a new content-based View.

The Views regression could produce an ArgumentCountError while a new content View was being configured. The failure followed earlier changes that removed plugins' manual create() methods, leaving an AJAX callback attempting to instantiate a Views wizard plugin without the constructor arguments it required. Drupal 11.4.5 resolves the problem by making ViewsFormAjaxHelperTrait::ajaxUpdateForm() a public static callback, avoiding that plugin-instantiation path.

Drupal 11.4.5 contains a broader collection of changes since 11.4.4. The published list includes fixes involving entity queries, the default administration toolbar, workspace purging, translated configuration, AJAX trusted URLs, theme installation batches, upserts after upgrades from Drupal 11.3 to 11.4, and moderation-state field definitions. The release also updates Twig to version 3.28, and Drupal 11.4.x is scheduled to receive security coverage until June 2027.

Drupal 10.6.15 has a separate change list for the Drupal 10 maintenance branch. Its release notes include the Twig 3.28 update, widened core-recommended dependency constraints, Composer replacement handling for removed modules, and a fix concerning labels of non-viewable media exposed through the media preview endpoint. Drupal 10.6.x remains the supported Drupal 10 line and is scheduled to receive security support until December 2026.
