Australian Government Opens Tender for New GovCMS Drupal and DXP Services Panel

Australia’s federal finance department has opened a request for tender to establish a new GovCMS Drupal Services and Digital Experience Platform Services Panel. The Department of Finance announced the procurement on 13 August 2026, after the RFT was published on AusTender on 12 August 2026. The tender closes on 7 October 2026, with services expected to commence in the third quarter of the 2026–27 financial year.

The procurement follows a 2025 industry consultation in which Finance described the planned arrangement as a Whole of Australian Government panel for GovCMS Drupal, digital experience platform and content personalisation services. GovCMS says the existing Drupal Services Panel was established in October 2021 and will operate until 30 September 2026. GovCMS currently reports 398 live websites, 13 websites in development and 124 organisations signed up to the service. Those figures provide context for the scale of the government Drupal estate that the new supplier arrangement is expected to support.

GovCMS says the proposed panel is intended to simplify procurement for specialised Drupal services and help government agencies deliver digital and content experiences for their users. Those remain stated objectives because the tender has not been awarded and the new panel has not yet been established.
