GovCMS New Version Released

The Australian government announced the release of GovCMS 2.4.0 on September 7th 2021. GovCMS is a distribution of Drupal 9. Layout Builder Modal and Layout Builder Restrictions modules have been added newly to it. These modules will enhance the functionality of the Layout Builder Core module. It provides a better user interface and better control over the appearance of blocks and layouts on a page.

The transition of all 334 websites to the new version is scheduled to happen over a period of the next 3 months. The new version sites will run parallel to the current version till the transition is complete. Once everything is in place the old version will be disabled and removed.

GovCMS has also announced that as of September 30th 2021, that the community on 'Discourse' will be discontinued. Instead, members are directed to join GovTEAMS to bring a more unified approach.
