Drupal Mountain Camp 2025: Olga Baranova to Share Insights on Landmark Swiss Open-Source Law

Drupal Mountain Camp 2025 will feature a keynote address by Olga Baranova, co-founder of CH++. Baranova played a pivotal role in advancing Switzerland’s first federal-level open-source law. In her session, “Public Money, Public Code: The Legal Journey of Open Source in Switzerland,” Baranova will explore the political and legal challenges of integrating open-source principles into national policy. The session will begin at 3:05 p.m. on March 13^th and last 60 minutes.

Switzerland’s EMBAG law, which mandates that publicly funded software should be made publicly accessible, has been in effect for a year. Baranova will discuss the law’s impact, the hurdles in implementation, and its broader implications beyond digitalization. Attendees will gain insights into the intersection of technology, governance, and citizen-focused digital policies.
