Drupal4Gov Europe 2026 Opens Call for Speakers Ahead of January Conference in Brussels

Call for Speakers: Drupal4Gov Europe 2026 Conference in Brussels

Organizers of the Drupal4Gov Europe 2026 Conference have opened a call for speaker proposals ahead of the event, scheduled for 29 January 2026 in Brussels. The one-day conference, which falls during Open Source Week, will bring together public sector technologists and digital government leaders from across Europe.

Organizers are inviting speakers to share real-world insights that shape public sector digital services. Topics of interest include privacy-first AI implementations, LocalGov Drupal experiences, GovCMS projects, cybersecurity strategies such as DDoS prevention, and government design systems. Proposals should reflect hands-on experience, highlight solutions delivered and lessons learned, and focus on approaches with measurable impact and potential for reuse across borders.

The event will be held at Rue de la Loi 107, located in Brussels’ European Quarter, and aims to foster collaboration on scalable digital infrastructure for the public sector. Attendees will include developers, service designers, IT leads, and senior decision-makers from EU member states and beyond.

The Drupal4Gov Europe community organizes the conference in partnership with the European Commission, Drupal Belgium, Drupal France, Drupal Switzerland, and Drupalcamp England—a coalition reflecting growing cross-border support for open-source collaboration in digital government. The event is supported by DUG Be vzw (Drupal User Group Belgium) and is organized by a team of open-source advocates and practitioners: Frederik Wouters, Marine Gandy, Joris Vercammen, David Bishop, and Rosa Ordinana.

The conference supports the adoption and advancement of open-source platforms in government, particularly Drupal, which powers numerous national and local government websites across the EU.

Proposals must be submitted via the official Drupal4Gov Europe 2026 website before the deadline, which is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
