Drupal Commerce Events Platform for Structured Credit Investor

Orion Web built a standalone events site for Structured Credit Investor (SCI) on Drupal CMS to replace a legacy shared platform. The project began with detailed requirements gathering, task breakdown in Trello and a timeline covering project management, design, DevOps, development and quality assurance. A custom Drupal build now hosts Events on a separate domain, supporting event creation, variant pricing, location-based tax configurations and Stripe payments via Drupal Commerce.

Key features include a multistep Webform for event registration that collects attendee details, company information and optional add-ons before generating a Commerce order and processing payment. The solution leverages Commerce Tax for configurable VAT support, Commerce Promotion for discount vouchers and Layout Builder for reusable, configurable content components. Back-office enhancements consolidate event management on a single configuration form, syncing webform settings and entity fields via Drupal Tokens.

The case study highlights Drupal’s strength as both a content management and e-commerce platform. Orion Web’s approach delivers a flexible, user-friendly interface for administrators and attendees.
