Using Drupal Recipes to Speed Up Site Building at PNW Drupal Summit 2025

The Pacific Northwest Drupal Summit 2025 will feature a key session on streamlining Drupal development using reusable functionality. Titled "Recipes for Success: Accelerating Site Building with Reusable Functionality," the session takes place Saturday, October 18, from 10:15 to 11:00 a.m. in the Barley Room at McMenamins Edgefield Hotel in Troutdale, Oregon.

Presented by Drupal expert Rick Hawkins, the session is geared toward beginners and will focus on the practical use of Drupal recipes. Attendees will learn how to apply recipes to speed up site building, create custom recipes for specific use cases, and manage them across teams and environments. The session will also cover recipe structure, dependencies, and configuration, with real-world examples to reinforce the concepts.

The two-day summit, running from October 18 to 19, brings together developers, designers, site builders, and project managers from across the Pacific Northwest. This year's event is hosted at the McMenamins Edgefield Hotel, a 74-acre property offering amenities such as a soaking pool, brewery, golf course, gardens, and more, just 15 minutes from Portland.
