Open Source Camp Chattanooga Returns November 7–8 with Multi-Platform Trainings

Open Source Camp Chattanooga returns this year on November 7 and 8, offering a hands-on, community-driven experience for anyone interested in web technologies and open source tools.

The two-day event begins with optional training sessions on Friday, November 7 at the Business Development Center on North Shore, featuring full and half-day tracks. Attendees can choose from “Absolute Beginner’s Guide to Drupal,” “WordPress in a Day,” or “Introduction to Laravel.” The Drupal training spans the full day, while Laravel and WordPress tracks can be taken together in a split schedule. On Saturday, November 8, the main camp takes place at the UTC Library in downtown Chattanooga, welcoming participants from all backgrounds, developers, designers, marketers, content creators, and project managers. Sessions will span a wide range of open source technologies and practices including UX/UI, JavaScript frameworks, and AI integrations.

Organizers describe the camp as a welcoming space for learning and connection, regardless of skill level. Lunch, coffee, and snacks are included, and attendees are encouraged to bring laptops and business cards. The event is also known for its social energy, with opportunities to meet new collaborators and reconnect with familiar faces. A post-event social is planned, with the first drink sponsored by Code Journeymen. The team is currently inviting community speakers to propose talks related to open source topics.

To attend or submit a session proposal, visit the official DrupalCamp Chattanooga site or follow the organizers on social channels for updates.
