Call for Designers: 2026 Aaron Winborn Award Seeks Creative Maker
Each year, the Drupal Community Working Group (CWG) honors a contributor who exemplifies generosity, collaboration, and community spirit through the Aaron Winborn Award.
The CWG is now inviting members of the Drupal community, or affiliated artists and makers, to submit proposals to design the 2026 edition of the award. The handcrafted piece should reflect the values the award represents and serve as a meaningful tribute to the recipient. Proposals or design concepts can be submitted directly to [email protected].
The award commemorates Aaron Winborn, a beloved Drupal contributor known for his open-source work and enduring generosity. Since its inception, the physical design of the award has varied each year, created by different members of the community. The 2019 award was designed by Rachel Norfolk, followed by a 2020 piece from Bo Shipley. Russell Eck created the awards for both 2023 and 2025.
The CWG encourages creative proposals that continue this tradition and visually represent the award’s purpose. As in past years, the selected design will be used to honor an individual whose impact strengthens the Drupal community through selfless contribution.
Those interested in contributing a design for the 2026 Aaron Winborn Award are encouraged to send their ideas to [email protected].
