The 2026 edition of Florida DrupalCamp concluded with packed contribution rooms and several first-time contributors making their first Drupal core commits. Mike Herchel shared a recap of the event on February 23, 2026, describing it as one of the strongest editions yet.

The three-day camp opened with a full day of training on Friday, followed by a packed Saturday of sessions covering Drupal development and related topics. Sunday combined additional sessions with a dedicated contribution day, drawing both experienced contributors and newcomers into collaborative work on Drupal core and contributed modules.

Mike highlighted mentoring several participants through their first core contributions. New developers Fransheska Tula and jinah resolved an issue involving the Olivero theme’s mobile menu and the newer Navigation module. Jitka Pilar fixed an issue in Drupal’s robots.txt file, while Sara Cartee removed deprecated code from the datetime module.

Beyond the sessions and contributions, the camp maintained its community spirit, with the traditional afterparty once again serving as a social highlight.
