Drupal Developer Job at IT Alliance Australia

• Provide technical expertise and development support to a small web team managing a complex, newly transitioned website project.
• Ensure the ongoing maintenance, continuity, and enhancement of internal and external web platforms while contributing to the development and release of new features and applications.
• Apply strong web development expertise across all aspects of software, website, and web application development.
• Develop both front-end interfaces and back-end functionality for websites and web applications.
• Contribute to ad hoc web issue tracking, troubleshooting, and resolution within a small internal web team.
• Collaborate directly with key internal stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver high-quality technical solutions within the constraints of existing platforms.
• Support the preparation of procurement documentation for vendors, including documenting technical requirements for the website.
• Assist with the preparation and publication of website content in accordance with Australian Government web standards and best practices. 

Technical Skills

• Experience in Drupal website development.
• Experience maintaining and supporting Drupal websites. 

Requirements

• Successful completion of pre-employment checks, including a police check.
• Ability to work within the Strategic Communications and Engagement Team, supporting the development and maintenance of the organization's Drupal website. 

Essential Criteria

• Proven experience developing and maintaining Drupal websites, including custom module development and maintenance.
• Experience managing and improving website performance, security, and analytics reporting.
• Ability to enhance managed platforms to meet accessibility, usability, and user-centered design standards.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving complex issues related to performance, caching, background processing, and system integrations, while providing technical guidance to restore services quickly.
• Demonstrated experience leading website transition and handoff processes, as well as managing code reviews, source control, testing, and quality assurance.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical specialists and service providers to ensure network and server architecture meets business requirements and technical standards.
