JOB DESCRIPTION

Develop, enhance and maintain enterprise Drupal websites, including custom module development.
Design and implement new website features and functionality across front-end and back-end components.
Improve website performance, security and overall platform reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues involving caching, background processing, integrations and production incidents.
Develop secure, scalable and maintainable web applications following industry best practice.
Participate in code reviews, testing, quality assurance and deployment activities.
Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure hosting environments meet business and technical requirements.
Support website releases, technical documentation and ongoing platform improvements.
Work closely with business stakeholders, content authors and technical specialists to deliver quality digital outcomes.

Skills & Experience Required

Extensive experience developing and maintaining Drupal websites (Drupal 9/10 preferred).
Strong experience developing and supporting custom Drupal modules.
Solid knowledge of PHP, Twig, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Experience improving website performance, security and analytics.
Strong understanding of WCAG accessibility standards, usability and user-centred design.
Experience with Git, source control, CI/CD pipelines and structured release management.
Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex production issues across web platforms.
Experience working alongside infrastructure, networking and hosting teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Previous Australian Government digital project experience will be highly regarded.
